Dubbed by POLITICO as the Right's "events chief," Allegra Hewell Wilson has a long track record in creating memorable events that showcase clients' intellectual and political clout. With more than a decade of event planning experience, Allegra has produced hundreds of events featuring presidential candidates, CEOs, senior Members of Congress, foreign leaders, and other newsmakers. She helps clients navigate every facet of an event, from the audio-visual elements that bring it to life, to the fundraising structure that makes it successful. Prior to launching Hewell Events Group, she helped manage fundraising and events at two Washington nonprofits.
Carolina Hewell
Co-Founder
Carolina Hewell graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelors degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management. Soon after she was recruited by Marriott International to work as a Sales Manager at the Regional Sales office proactively selling group rooms and event space for Virginia, DC and Maryland. Her interest in global tourism and passion for travel and languages landed her in Madrid, Spain. While in Madrid she worked for renowned French Hotel Company Accor and Total Team, an event company solely dedicated to the pharmaceutical industry. After 5 years in Spain, Carolina returned to Washington, DC to launch Hewell Events Group with her sister.
Shelagh Bolger
Vice President
Shelagh brings 7 years of event production experience in the entertainment, non-profit, and political industries successfully planning hundreds of events ranging in size from intimate dinners for 8 to festivals and conferences with thousands of attendees. She is fluent in EventPro and Social Tables softwares. Her comprehensive logistical and technical skills are coupled with a keen eye for event design and décor. Having lived in Rome, Italy, Shelagh brings her love of art and architecture into her design vision for each event. Styling credentials include attendance at the award winning En Masse Boutique Flower School and the Wild Hand Workspace Photo Styling and Image Creation Workshop. Shelagh has been published in Darling Magazine and Verily Magazine.
Maria Soria
Event Manager
Maria McFadden is a recent Graduate from Christendom College, whose passion for hospitality drives her to fulfill the vision of each individual client. While pursuing a bachelor’s degree in English Literature, Maria worked as the Associate Event Planner at Christendom College, where she put on various events from board meetings and conferences to large dinner parties with multiple entertainment components each year. After graduating, Maria then went on to be a florist at the five star inn of Little Washington. During her time there, the Inn achieved its prized third Michelin star. She is now thrilled to rejoin the event industry with Hewell Events Group.
Julia McLaughlin
Event Manager
Julia McLaughlin graduated from Nazareth College with a degree in Business Management. Throughout college Julia worked at a local country club as a server where she quickly found her passion for the day-to-day planning and the teamwork required to put an event together. She then took on a bigger role as the Banquet Manager where she was able to start working with clients more directly and plan events at the club including weddings, golf tournaments, and fundraisers. At Hewell Events Group, Julia enjoys being involved in the planning and execution of events on a larger scale.
Haley Ambreit Quepons
Event Manager
Haley Ambreit Quepons is the newest member of our team, and is eager to participate in all aspects of our high-level client services. Haley is well versed in client management and satisfaction, which she’s found comes quite naturally for her. She began her professional career as a Sommelier, where she gained more than eight years of experience. Haley has continued to hone her client relationship and project delivery skills by serving as a team leader for a high-stakes international client at a leading law firm. Over the past several years, her capabilities in problem solving and project management have led to both firm and client growth, all while also providing more individualized service for smaller and individual clients. Haley is most excited to bring her expertise and put her passion to work by leading product development for our team.
